那天，我準備好聽寫的紙和筆，然后興奮地請您幫我報聽寫。雖然您滿口答應，但我能看出來，您有些勉強。我坐在書桌前，聽著您那不規范的發言，越聽越別扭，最后實在聽不下去了，從您的手中一把奪過英語書，扔到書桌上。您當時尷尬極了，欲言又止，終究沒有支聲，默默地走開了。我氣呼呼地把老師要求聽寫的內容默寫了一遍。
半夜，我被客廳里細微的動靜驚醒了，難道家里進小偷啦?我可是個男子漢啊，哪能怕他!于是，我光著腳丫，悄悄地摸到雨傘，準備做武器。
當我走出房間時，卻看到了您正背對著我，坐在書桌前，輕輕地讀我的英語書!我呆住了，手中的雨傘掉在地上。您聽見聲音，轉過頭，先是一愣，然后慌忙藏起書，訓斥我道：“你，怎么不好好睡覺?”我撲到您懷里，失聲痛哭起來：“媽媽，請您原諒我，我不該嫌棄您，更不該對您發脾氣……”您拍著我的后背說：“好孩子，媽媽不怪你。媽媽希望你不要做我這樣的‘啞巴’，你要聽老師的話，堅持多聽多讀，才能學好這門語言課!”我用力地點點頭，把您的話記在心里。
