xx：董校長您好。我們支隊現在在開展“五個一”系列活動，其中“訪名師”是其中的活動之一。我們三個人組成了訪談小組，首先想到的便是董校長您。在沿村聯校實習三個月的時間里，我們深深的感受到董校長您淵博的知識、先進的教學管理理念以及高尚的人格情操。您為這個學校的兢兢業業我們都看在眼里，取得的成績也是令人心服口服。我們希望通過本次訪談進一步了解您，希望您能教給我們這些晚輩后生一些人生、教學經驗，使我們在接下來的頂崗實習工作中進一步完善自我，提高水平，同時為我們以后的人生道路提供有益的幫助。

董校長：很高興今天的交流機會，我們彼此學習吧！

xx：首先請您和我們分享一下您的從教經歷。

董校長：我從1991年開始參加工作。在范莊中學任教物理3年。后因具有一定的寫作功底被抽調去縣文教局從事義務教育宣傳工作。經過14年在文教局平淡的工作，我深深感到不能就這樣平庸的過下去，于是我決定實現自我的人生價值——當校長——涵養一方求知的孩子。

xx：您從一名普通的教師走到了現在校長的位置，是憑借什么過人之處呢？

董校長：我沒有什么過人之處。我覺得最重要的是想去做，并付諸于行動，一直堅持下去。也許很多人不理解我為什么放著文教局這個很優越很輕松的工作不做，而下來當一名普通的校長。我想說的是每個人都有自己的價值觀。在當校長這5年時間里，我幾乎沒有得到過什么榮譽稱號，但是我卻很欣慰。因為我對得起這一片的父老鄉親，對得起這里的孩子們，那就是我人生價值得到了最好的體現。

xx：在您成為名師的過程中，有沒有這樣一件事對您影響特別深，甚至是改變了您對某些事物的看法？

xx：聽了這些我們真的佩服您。您的樂觀，您對教育的那種熱情與奉獻，都是我們學習的榜樣。來到咱們學校，我們感覺到學校的精神文明搞得特別好，您是怎樣看待道德教育在基層教育中的地位呢？

董校長：我認為道德與規則同樣重要。中國自古以來便是禮儀之邦，禮數對于一個人乃至一個民族來講都是至關重要的。我們高喊著“為了解放全人類而奮斗終身”，然而現實是現在的人們連道德底線都沒有，蔑視公平正義，不懂規則，不講道德，那么何談解放呢？道德的缺失是對整個民族的不負責任。普及道德教育必須從小孩子抓起，培養有道德的高素質公民。

xx：是啊，道德的缺失是最可怕的。做事先做人，一定要從娃娃抓起做好德育工作。校長，你從91年開始就在農村小學任教，你認為我們的農村教育存在哪些問題呢？

董校長：最大的問題是師資力量薄弱。農村缺少老師，所以就會聘請一些素質比較低的代課教師，因此也就導致了師資隊伍業務能力差，思想道德水平低下等的一系列問題。

xx：那么您認為作為一名普通的教師要實現自我發展，達到一種較高的境界，需要具備哪些素質和條件？

董校長：最核心的一點是要有愛心。愛孩子，愛學習，愛這份職業。只有充滿對孩子對教育的真誠的愛，才能在這片三尺講臺上培育好祖國的希望與未來。所以教育其實本質是愛的教育。

xx：經過這5年的實踐，你現在的辦學理念是什么？你理想中的農村學校發展遠景又是什么樣的？

董校長：我一直堅持的教學理念就是學校的校訓：認認真真學習，堂堂正正做人。成不成才不是最重要的，最重要是成人。誠實，守信，正直等，是每個人都應該做到的。這才是教育的靈魂所在。至于理想中的學校，我沒有特別明確的展望。但是我認為一定要從各個方面追求完美。應試教育符合我國的國情，是不能丟的。而素質教育也是不容忽視的。追求教育的高效化，人性化，才是重中之重。

xx：您作為一名有經驗的前輩您覺得目前的年輕教師急待解決的問題是什么？對我們頂崗實習生有什么希望和寄語？

董校長：年輕的教師，首先，要多學習。學無止境，活到老，學到老。一定要時時給自己充電，完善自己，不要被這個發展迅速的時代所拋棄。作為一名教育者，更是應當走在世界的前列，才能有足夠的知識去教書育人。第二要嚴格要求自己。教師作為學生的典范，是其效仿和學習的榜樣。身為教師，一定要以身作則，嚴格自律，有恒心，有毅力，敢于堅持，才能為學生樹立一個好的范例。第三，不要驕傲。即使取得了成績，也不要自鳴得意。如果只是停滯于當前短暫的成功中止步不前，勢必會導致失敗。虛心是成功的法寶。希望你們能夠在這段頂崗實習生活中充實自我，完善自我，提升自我。

I personally believe that no child can become an active and valuable member of any society without intercommunicating with other peers. Therefore, although there are conniving arguments for a relative care, it is better to send them into daycare centers in the childhood period.

The updated understanding of study and the cutting-edge technology usher in an era when the students can have a variety of ways to acquire knowledge. Although there are other forms to obtain knowledge and information, I am still the proponent of the belief that students can learn more from their teachers than other resources.

Study, to some degree, is not a one-way input of knowledge, while it is the procedure of mutual interaction between teachers and students. In the conventional teaching and learning mode, the teachers and the students co-exist in an environment where they can have timely interaction. It is also true that students are likely to learn more from other resources. Internet and TV are two media where there are a wealth of knowledge and information ranging from science and humanity. They are also the easily accessible platforms for the students who are in the remote places where the learning resources can hardly challenge the dominant role played by teachers.

To sum up, teachers are still the primary resource from which students gain knowledge, although the influence of other learning resources cannot be underestimated.

It is true that video surveillance has become commonplace in many cities in recent years. While I understand that critics may see this as an invasion of privacy, I believe that the benefits do outweigh the drawbacks.

There are two main reasons why people might disapprove of the use of video cameras in public places. The first objection is that these cameras invade our privacy, in the sense that we are constantly being watched by the authorities or by private security firms. Many people find this intrusive and feel that the recording of their movements is a form of state control that curtails their individual freedom. The second argument against the proliferation of CCTV cameras is that they are being used as an alternative to police officers patrolling the streets. If this is indeed happening, then it is unlikely that members of the public will feel safer.

In spite of the drawbacks mentioned above, I believe that the use of video cameras to monitor public areas is a positive measure. The key objective of video surveillance is to deter criminals and to prevent crime. For example, petty criminals like shoplifters and pickpockets are less likely to operate in parts of cities where they know that they are being watched. At the same time, when crimes are committed, the police can use video evidence to catch and prosecute offenders. Therefore, in my view, video cameras offer valuable support to police officers, and they make cities safer for inhabitants, workers and visitors alike.

In conclusion, it seems to me that we gain more than we lose from the enhanced security that CCTV cameras bring to our cities.

Career preparation is becoming more and more important to young people. For many, this is the primary reason to go to college, They know that the job market is competitive. At college, they can learn new skill for careers with a lot of opportunities. This means careers, such as information technology, that are expected to need a large workforce in the coming years.

Also, students go to colleges and universities to have new experiences. This often means having the opportunity to meet people different from those in their hometowns. For most students, going to college is the first time they’ve been away from home by themselves. In additions, this is the first time they’ve had to make decisions on their own. Making these decisions increases their knowledge of themselves.

I would recommend that people not be so focused on a career. They should go to college to have new experiences and learn about themselves and the world they live in.

They may assert that university courses like medicine, engineering and information technology are more likely to be beneficial than certain art degrees. From a personal perspective, it can be argued that these courses provide more job opportunities, career progression, better salaries, and therefore an improved quality of life for students who take them. On the societal level, by forcing people to choose particular university subjects, governments can ensure that any knowledge and skill gaps in the economy are covered. Finally, a focus on technology in higher education could lead to new inventions, economic growth, and greater future prosperity.

In spite of these arguments, I believe that university students should be free to choose their preferred areas of study. In my opinion, society will benefit more if our students are passionate about what they are learning. Besides, nobody can really predict which areas of knowledge will be most useful to society in the future, and it may be that employers begin to value creative thinking skills above practical or technical skills. If this were the case, perhaps we would need more students of art, history and philosophy than of science or technology.

In conclusion, although it might seem sensible for universities to focus only on the most useful subjects, I personally prefer the current system in which people have the right to study whatever they like.

今年9月28日，乃我中華最偉大之教育家、至圣先師孔子誕辰2565周年紀念日，社會各界，皆已開始醞釀、籌備不同形式及內容之紀念活動。上海國學會既有志于弘揚傳統文化，接續圣賢道統，自不能袖手旁觀。今特向各位同道賢達發出第三次沙龍活動邀請：歡迎大家在孔圣誕辰之日，齊聚上海交通大學海外教育學院，就孔子文教精神與當下民間私塾教育這一議題，展開廣泛交流與討論。屆時，不僅學術界、教育界的專家學者與民間國學機構的創辦人可暢談孔子文教精神，還特意邀請到在民間教育界享有盛名的上海孟母堂創辦人呂麗委老師等現場交流經典教育的寶貴經驗。

此次活動擬分上午和下午兩場：上午為孔子文教精神專場；下午為當下民間私塾教育現狀、經驗與未來專場，先由上海本地幾家私塾堂主與大家分享其辦學經驗，然后自由討論。活動或邀請媒體現場做現場采訪報道。

活動時間：9月28日（周日）上午9：00下午4：30（8：459：00報到）

活動地點：上海交通大學海外教育學院

Task：In some countries, secondary school aims to provide a general education across a range of subjects. In others, children focus on a narrow range of subjects related to a particular career. Which do you think is appropriate in today’s world?

Sample answer：

What range of subjects the high school offers can have a stark and profound influence on students’ future development. I, to be honest, hold the view that the general education with a wide range of subjects is beneficial to students themselves in the long run.

If students have access to more courses, they are likely to have more opportunities to choose the subject they prefer or are better at. In this way, the students can learn with more enthusiasm and passionate and will feel less bored with their classes. With more motivation derived from their inner hearts, students can give full play to their potentials and achieve better academic performance.

Besides, the more diverse subject system can also cultivate more well-rounded students. The knowledge base of different subjects is distinct from each other, which can help to foster the students in certain perspective. Mathematics and physics are helpful to students’ logic and abstract thinking; some humanity subjects such as literature and aesthetics can enhance students’ capabilities of appreciation and judgment. There is no doubt that students will become more versatile if they have grasped knowledge of different subjects.

It is also true that focusing on the narrower range of subjects can bring some benefits to some extent. Students can concentrate more on limited subjects and are more likely to become the specialist in certain fields. Youyou TU, the Nobel Prize winner in medicine, receives specialized education in TCM and chemistry and devotes all her life to the research of the anti-malaria medicines, making her become a world-renowned scientist.

To sum up, a general education with wilder range of subjects should be accessible to students because of its benefits to a sounder development of students.
