Owning to the remarkable developments in mass-communication, people everywhere are feeling new wants and are being exposed to new customs and ideas, while governments are often forced to introduce still further innovations for reasons given below.
Art is not far away, art is there. It can be a song, a picture, or a small piece of art. It can be an art form...
Music is the sound emitted by the rules of the object. It can be said that there are music everywhere in life, and there is art everywhere. What is important is that you are not good at finding and searching. That belongs to music in life, which belongs to the art of life.
I very like xxxclair DE lunexxx, its melody and sometimes fast, sometimes low, is set in the sea lily, makes people feel there is a beautiful artistic conception, think xxxmoonlight illuminated by a rough seaxxx really appeared in front of their own. The German poet Ludwig lairstown likened the first movement to xxxlike a boat swinging on the shimmering lake of lucersen, Switzerlandxxx.
Music, can relax mood, edify sentiment; Music can open the closed mind, relieve the depressed mood, also can let the body relax; Music can stimulate the brain and activate brain cells. Music, you can...
I think that people who listen to music are very sensitive. Sad songs that listen to a lot of people may become sentimental, and the perspective of one thing can be a little pessimistic. But everything has two sides and the art is not always perfect. I just need to know: music gives me happiness. That's enough...
This weekend, there was an art festival in our school, it had been hold for five years and the school insisted to make it become the feature. I was so excited, this was the first time for me to join. Early in the morning, I saw there were so many people coming to the campus, making the campus so lively. The students dressed so well and gave the warm welcome to the guests. I walked around and appreciated the painting, every work was drawn by the students, I was so impressed by these works. There were also some handworks, which were so creative, it reflected the students’ wisdom. Though we were busy with our subjects most of the time, some students still kept on their hobbies and made it their talent. I should learn from them and develop some interest.
China has the history of more than 5,000 years. Many foreign people are attracted by this big old country. They come here and want to know about the traditional culture. However, Chinese young people don't show much interest in the old culture, instead they chase the fashion and some even abandon the precious culture. For example, paper cutting, one of the excellent arts that is inherited by our ancestors. Many foreign media speak highly of this great handicraft and they are astonished by the wisdom of Chinese people. I have seen this art when I stay in my hometown. Only few old people can do it. They just take it for killing time. Paper cutting is like the old fashion and is forgotten by the young generation. The media should report more positive information about the traditional culture to inspire the young people to learn.
Many traditional arts are losing nowadays, because some of them have been replaced by the new machines and the scientific products.
I feel so sorry about the losing arts, in my opinion, they are so classic and their charm will never fade away. Take my grandma for example. She is good at paper-cut which was inherited from her mother. But when comes to my mother’s generation, paper-cut seems to be kicked out, there are less people need it, so my mother doesn’t learn this skill. The paper-cut art is losing in my family. When I found my grandma had this skill, I was so surprised and curious about it. I asked my grandma to teach me this skill. During the process, I found this art was so great, I was attracted by it.
Some traditional arts like paper-cup should be kept.
An artist went to a beautiful part of the country and stayed with a famer.
Every day he went out drawing from morning to evening when the sun went down, Every day he went out drawing from morning to evening when the sun went down. When it was time for him to leave, he wanted to pay the famer. But the famer said, no, I don’t want any money, but give me one of your pictures, what is money. In a week the money will all be spent, but the picture will still be here.
The artist was very pleased and thanked the famer for saying such kind things about his pictures.
Topic: Traditional arts civilized a nation. Do you think the government should subsidize musicians, artists, or drama companies? What should government do ?
Nowadays there is a growing tendency that some traditional arts are disappearing far away from modern society. Some people think the government should subsidize musicians, artists, actors or theatrical companies. From my point of view ,the government have a responsibilities to protect traditional arts, but there might be better ways than only give money to traditional artists.
It is obvious that traditional arts are the essential part of national cultural. A study of traditional arts might be a good way to learn about cultural and it can civilized a nation. It reflects not only the political values of people, but also their religious beliefs, emotions and daily activities .China have a long history and various kinds of traditional arts, such as painting, calligraphy, architecture and Beijing opera, which offer a chances to people to enjoy civilized pleasure. However ,traditional arts are leaving contemporary people further and further away, which due to many reasons. Such as lack funds and professional guide, the impact from western cultures.
How should government do to maintain and develop traditional arts? Firstly, the government should pay a fund for research and promotion of traditional arts. Secondly, the traditional arts can be taught in the school as alternative courses, which can cultivate a childs interest in traditional arts. Last ,but not least, the government should sponsor the concerts and exhibitions about traditional arts as frequently as possible, which can give people more opportunities to get touch with traditional arts. Not all of us can be artists, but most of us can appreciate it, and the traditional arts can be developed if more people appreciate it.
Hello, good morning everyone. I'm Zhang jinsong from the political class of the Institute of political science and public management. Today I'm very pleased to stand here to deliver a speech for you all. The topic of my speech is - Art.
Now I'd love to propose my first question - What is artOh, Luxin, What is art
According to our textbook 1 on page 108, we can learn that art is often considered the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions.
Ok, a standard answer. Well, I just want to put forward my own point of view. My simple view is that art belongs to the category of beauty and it's a kind of thing that can bring pleasant enjoyment to one's heart. This is my own comprehension of art.
As we all know, art can be classified into many different kinds of parts. Such as, music, literature, film, sculpture and painting and so on. There is no doubt that we can benefit a lot from these various forms of art. Now I want to put forward my second question, Zifeng, What benefits do you think art can bring to us
Uh, as far as I'm concerned, I believe that what art can bring to us is mainly a sense of enjoyment. And it can add a baptism and sublimation to our hearts.
Yeah, I cannot agree more. But I still have something that can be added. Firstly, art provides us with a chance to know something about some great masters' works, broadening our horizons. What's more, art helps us improve our connoisseurship and raise the level of our aesthetic judgment. Finally, art can also help us adjust our mood, allowing us leading a healthy and pleasant life in the long run. For example, if we are down, a piece of gentle music will be a not bad comfort to us.
Since art has so beneficial an impact on us, thus, I will raise my last question. Onedan, How to raise a person's artistic accomplishments, letting him or her move forward smoothly under the influence of art
I think attending art classes would be helpful. And we can also go to art museums, galleries, the master-pieces showrooms and etc. to appreciate many different kinds of art forms. This is my answer to your question.
Yes, you are a bright girl. In addition to what you have just said, we can also appreciate some brilliant master-pieces through TV, internet and so on in daily lives, even create art works ourselves. Besides, We can also put forward our understanding about a specific work of art to communicate with others, promoting our awareness of art through communication.
Ok, my speech is over in the end. Thank you for your listening patiently.
China has a history of more than 5000 years, and its culture is diverse. Chinese people are proud of their own culture. Many traditional arts are part of national treasures, such as festivals containing myths and handicrafts.
One of the special handmade products is paper cutting. Now few people know that paper cutting is an extraordinary art, that is, cutting paper into figures with scissors. This art only needs to be simple But when we see the masters of paper cutting, it is not easy at all.
They only need a few minutes to complete. In fact, for a freshman, they need to practice for a long time. This art has a long history.
It reflects the wisdom of the Chinese people. Grandma inherited this art. When I was very young, she would cut a lot of graphics.
She tried to teach me this Handcraft, but I am addicted to playing computer games. Now I feel very sorry, because paper cutting is a treasure. Many foreigners like it.
But as a Chinese, I once rejected the inheritance of tradition and needed everyone's enthusiasm.

There is a striking orange pumpkin at the corner of our bedroom. This pumpkin is a gift from my aunt to grandma, who has been putting it in my home. This is my favorite art. The pumpkin is about 36 cm in diameter, with a flower handle about 4 cm on the top. In a large orange area, there is a little green. The whole match is very harmonious. The more you see it, the more like the pumpkin carriage in Cinderella!
This pumpkin is made of ceramics and weighs about 3 jin. The surface is very smooth, icy and hard, but it's like holding a cornucopia. The dark green flower handle is a little transparent, giving people the space of imagination, but also adding some vitality. A pumpkin is divided into 10 parts. It's perfect! The structure of this pumpkin is relatively simple, which is the same as the appearance and structure of the pumpkin planted by the farmer's uncle. This pumpkin is not so gorgeous, but general orange, which makes people feel full of life and happy. This simple and simple scenery is much better than the ceramic pumpkin inlaid with rare treasures. It attracts people's attention with its simplicity and simplicity.
The simple color of the glass pumpkin is that I feel the hardships of the working people; its birth is inseparable from the hard work of the glass ceramic workers. This pumpkin adds some color to my family. Because of the rich imagination of the glass and ceramic workers, there will be more people to enjoy more beautiful art!

Recently, I have been reading a book named Communication Arts. In this book, the author Doctor Li introduces many methods to communicate with others successfully and tells readers why everyone should be a polite person. My favorite sentence in this book is “Everyone has potential, and everyone can determine your own future by developing positive psychological, mastering communication arts and showing your personality charm. In that way, you can have a wonderful life!”
During whole sections, this book tells us human should live in a large group, since people can’t solve all problems by their own. For that matter, human beings should learn a series of manners to deal with any situation which might happen wherever and whenever. After that, Doctor Li makes a point that people need to realize how to resolve disagreements between friends, families or colleagues. There always appears this kind of situation in social life, so it’s important to understand how to settle it. Finally he teaches us that communication techniques not only reflect in normal talk but also within body languages.
In each part of the book, the author takes a large number of examples in daily life to confirm his points. These examples in daily life are easy to understand and accept.
After reading the book, I find many shortages of my communication skills. I used to lack of patience when I talk to others, even got mad at them. This was impolite and might destroy relationships between my friends and me. Therefore I would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

the art of living is to know when to hold fast and when to let go. for life is a parado: it enjoins us to cling to its many gifts even while it ordains their eventual relinquishment. the rabbis of old put it this way:xxx a man comes to this world with his fist clenched, but when he dies, his hand is open.xxx
surely we ought to hold fast to life, for it is wondrous, and full of a beauty that breaks through every pore of god s own earth. we know that this is so, but all too often we recognize this truth only in our backward glance when we remember what was and then suddenly realize that it is no more.
we remember a beauty that faded, a love that waned. but we remember with far greater pain that we did not see that beauty when it flowered, that we failed to respond with love when it was tendered.
a recent eperience re-taught me this truth. i was hospitalized following a severe heart attack and had been in intensive care for several days. it was not a pleasant place.
one morning, i had to have some additional tests. the required machines were located in a building at the opposite end of the hospital, so i had to be wheeled across the courtyard on a gurney.
as we emerged from our unit, the sunlight hit me. thats all there was to my eperience. just the light of the sun. and yet how beautiful it was -- how warming, how sparking, how brilliant! i looked to see whether anyone else relished the suns golden glow, but everyone was hurrying to and fro, most with eyes fied on the ground. then i remembered how often i, too, had been indifferent to the grandeur of each day, too preoccupied with petty and sometimes even mean concerns to respond from that eperience is really as commonplace as was the eperience itself: lifes gifts are precious -- but we are too heedless of them.
here then is the first pole of lifes paradoical demands on us : never too busy for the wonder and the awe of life. be reverent before each dawning day. embrace each hour. seize each golden minute.
hold fast to life...but not so fast that you cannot let go. this is the second side of life s coin, the opposite pole of its parado: we must accept our losses, and learn how to let go.
this is not an easy lesson to learn, especially when we are young and think that the world is ours to command, that whatever we desire with the full force of our passionate being can, nay, will, be ours. but then life moves along to confront us with realities, and slowly but surely this truth dawns upon us.
at every stage of life we sustain losses -- and grow in the process. we begin our independent lives only when we emerge from the womb and lose its protective shelter. we enter a progression of schools, then we leave our mothers and fathers and our childhood homes. we get married and have children and then have to let them go. we confront the death of our parents and our spouses. we face the gradual or not so gradual waning of our strength. and ultimately, as the parable of the open and closed hand suggests, we must confront the inevitability of our own demise, losing ourselves as it were, all that we were or dreamed to be.

To get us started this semester I am going to spend the first two classes giving you background lectures about some basic cinematic concepts.
Once you are a little more familiar with basic film terminology, we will be ready to look at the history of movies in the United States.
You'll be expected to attend showing of films on Tuesday evenings at 7 o'clock in Jennings Auditorium. That's our lab.
Then during our Wednesday seminar, we'll discuss in depth the movie we saw the night before. We are not covering silent films in this course. We will begin with the first talking motion picture, The Jazz Singer, released in 1927.
The next week, we'll be looking at The Gold Diggers of 1933, a piece that is very representative of the escapist trend in films released during the depression.
Some of the films we will be watching will probably be new to you, like Frank Capra's Why We Fight. Others you might have already seen on TV like Rebel without A Cause starring James Deane, or Stanley Cooper's Doctor's Strange Love.
However, I hope you see even familiar film with new eye.
In the last three weeks of the course, we will be watching films from the 1980s and you'll choose one of them as a subject for an extensive written critique.
We'll talk more about the requirements of the critique later in this semester.

301班的英文歌結(jié)束后,緊接著我們上了臺唱英文歌《I’m a Littlesnman》了,跟著音樂,穿著漂亮的公主裙,做著優(yōu)著的動作,唱著動聽的歌曲:“I’m Little teaput,short and stout……”

My Thoughts on the University Arts Festival For our universitys arts festival, I think that the university should hold open competitions and auditions for anyone who wants to take part in the festivals exhibitions and performances. This would not only increase general interest in and appreciation for the arts, but would also be a good way for our university to show its support for the arts.
This arts festival is an excellent opportunity to remind everyone that arts are important for everyone to appreciate and take part in, regardless of major.
I think that there should be general, open auditions and competitions in all the major arts. There should be categories for painting and sculpture; classical, folk and modem dance; and instrumental and choral groups, both large and small. The judges should be joint committees made up of both faculty and Students, both experts in the field and novices. Arranging the festival in this way will, I believe, give our student body a greater enjoyment of the arts, a break from studies and a fuller appreciation for what it means to be human.

Since I was very small, my parents sent me to learn painting. They thought I could understand art and mastered one skill. This experience brings me the sense of art. I have my own understanding of it.
On the one hand, art is an important way to express people's opinion. When we see the pictures, the difference between classical and ordinary paintings lies in the thoughts. The famous artists implant their ideas in the pictures, which are admitted by the public, so the value of arts can be seen. Some famous artists expressed their unique opinion and gives arts great meaning.
On the other hand, art is not only from works, but also from life. For example, my mother cooks the delicious food. Everybody speaks highly of her. So her food brings people great happiness, which makes the food an art for me. What's more, my friends is good at communicating. The way she talks can convince other easily, so I call the way she communicates as an art.
In all, for me, art is around. It brings people a way to see the world or makes our life wonderful.

Therefore I would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

reality, different students have different learning habits, which I think influence their learning efficiency greatly. Good habits always lead to high efficiency, while bad ones bring the opposite.
Some students are good at concentrating on what the teachers teach in class. They think only in this way can they understand and memorize the teaching materials better. If we find those materials interesting, we'll focus our attention on them for long. However, those dull lessons require our determination, self-controlling ability and confidence.
My classmates always call me xxxMr. forgetfulxxx, because I cannot memorize those I have learnt. I know that it is because I don't spend some time in memorizing them after class. My teachers advise me to repeat the materials several times and read them aloud, which they think will help improve my memory.

What is art? When people think about this question, they will naturally think about all kinds of musical instruments or the great paintings in the art museums. Art seems to so far away from the ordinary people, but I don’t think so. Art is everywhere. For example, the delicious food that is made by our parents is the great art, and the value of the food is to bring people the great joy when they have a taste of it. The scenery around us is the visible art, when we appreciate it, our mood become eased. Art is something that brings people the positive value for me, so art is around everybody. If we take time to slow down our pace, then we can enjoy art from life and feel the comfortable lifestyle.

Proponents of different jazz styles have always argued that their predecessor’s musical style did not include essential characteristics that define jazz as jazz. Thus, 1940’s swing was belittled by beboppers of the 1950’s who were themselves attacked by free jazzes of the 1960’s. The neoboppers of the 1980’s and 1990’s attacked almost everybody else. The titanic figure of Black saxophonist John Coltrane has complicated the arguments made by proponents of styles from bebop through neobop because in his own musical journey he drew from all those styles. His influence on all types of jazz was immeasurable. At the height of his popularity, Coltrane largely abandoned playing bebop, the style that had brought him fame, to explore the outer reaches of jazz.
Coltrane himself probably believed that the only essential characteristic of jazz was improvisation, the one constant in his journey from bebop to open-ended improvisations on modal, Indian, and African melodies. On the other hand, this dogged student and prodigious technician — who insisted on spending hours each day practicing scales from theory books — was never able to jettison completely the influence of bebop, with its fast and elaborate chains of notes and ornaments on melody.
Two stylistic characteristics shaped the way Coltrane played the tenor saxophone: he favored playing fast runs of notes built on a melody and depended on heavy, regularly accented beats. The first led Coltrane to “sheets of sound” where he raced faster and faster, pile-driving notes into each other to suggest stacked harmonies. The second meant that his sense of rhythm was almost as close to rock as to bebop.
Three recordings illustrate Coltrane’s energizing explorations. Recording Kind of Blue with Miles Davis, Coltrane found himself outside bop, exploring modal melodies. Here he played surging, lengthy solos built largely around repeated motifs — an organizing principle unlike that of free jazz saxophone player Ornette Coleman, who modulated or altered melodies in his solos. On Giant Steps, Coltrane debuted as leader, introducing his own compositions. Here the sheets of sound, downbeat accents, repetitions, and great speed are part of each solo, and the variety of the shapes of his phrases is unique. Coltrane’s searching explorations produced solid achievement. My Favorite Things was another kind of watershed. Here Coltrane played the soprano saxophone, an instrument seldom used by jazz musicians. Musically, the results were astounding. With the soprano’s piping sound, ideas that had sounded dark and brooding acquired a feeling of giddy fantasy.
When Coltrane began recording for the Impulse! Label, he was still searching. His music became raucous, physical. His influence on rockers was enormous, including Jimi Hendrix, the rock guitarist, who, following Coltrane, raised the extended guitar solo using repeated motifs to a kind of rock art form.

I walked around and appreciated the painting, every work was drawn by the students, I was so impressed by these works. There were also some handworks, which were so creative, it reflected the students' wisdom.
Though we were busy with our subjects most of the time, some students still kept on their hobbies and made it their talent. I should learn from them and develop some interest.
