1.日記格式

英語日記和中文日記格式大抵相同，通常由兩個部分組成，即書端和正文。日記的第一行要寫明日期，星期和當時的天氣狀況。日期頂格寫，中間是星期，天氣寫在右上角。如果是游記的話也可以寫上地點。

2.日記文體

英語日記的寫作文體不限，但對小學生來說，多以敘事為主。小學生日記的內容一般取材于生活，可長可短，實在無話可說，一兩句也可以。家長應鼓勵孩子在日記里多運用課堂上學過的詞匯。
