廉政，一個老生常談的話題，與之背道而馳的則是遭人唾棄的貪污。常言道“妖霧彌漫的地方必有妖怪，歪風邪氣盛行的地方必有貪污。”貪污成風的清政府時代，“三年清知府，十萬雪花銀。”是官場的真實寫照，從最高統治者皇帝一直到下面的各級官僚，幾乎無一不貪。軍機大臣和坤當政20年，大肆貪污受賄。家產值白銀10億兩，相當于當時清政府20年的財政收入!滿清末年貪污更盛，官僚們瘋狂受賄、貪污，大肆占有土地，一些地方甚至出現了“有田者什一，無田者什九”的局面。在這樣的近乎瘋狂的貪污下，民不聊生，社會矛盾空前激化，清朝統治者由貪污走向了覆滅，其實何止是清政府?“歷覽前賢國與家，成由勤儉敗由奢。”廉政，是一個國家一個民族的安定與公正的保證。試想，假若沒有海瑞、包拯、西門豹、劉墉……一系列為民做主兩袖清風的清官良臣，那君主何以安民?民又何以服君?《左傳》上說“國家之敗，由官邪也;官之失德，寵賄章也。”講的就是官之廉政對于國對于民的重要意義。

廉政，永遠都是不過時的美麗。1976年1月，聯合國總部就“破例”給已故中國xxx總理xxxxxx以示哀悼，那時與中國建交的國家只有103個，但卻有130個國家的黨政領導人致唁電唁函，幾乎所有重要國家的報紙、電臺都在第一時間報道了這一消息。更值得注意的是，聯合國xxx的行動竟完全突破了聯合國《旗典》中的相關規定，與此同時，國內的人民也早早的從四面八方趕到首都，浩浩蕩蕩的“十里長街送總理”成為千古佳話。
